Children’s Music

On Friday, one of the little girls living in the heim asked me, while pointing at the poster advertising my presence, when she was going to be able to play music. “I really want to play the guitar,” she said.
Though I don’t have a guitar for the girl, I am now making very loose lesson plans to do an arts and crafts workshop for the children where we will make various instruments. I’m imagining drums fashioned from plastic buckets. Maracas made from empty soup containers. Can we track down PVC pipes to make wind instruments? I will find out tomorrow.
If all goes well, perhaps the kids will be able present their compositions within the heim in the coming weeks.
